Louis XV Style Bergère Armchair – Carved Wood and Cognac Leather Capitonné – Mid-20th Century Elegant and imposing winged Bergère armchair in the classic Louis XV style, made around the mid-20th century. The frame is entirely built of solid wood finely hand-carved with acanthus leaf motifs and Rococo-inspired scrolls, on both the headboard of the backrest, the lower band, and the armrests. Upholstered in cognac-toned leather, enhanced by a capitonné backrest with buttons and a perimeter trim finished with antique gold metal studs. Equipped with a wide and soft removable seat cushion. Conditions: The piece presents itself in fair structural condition and solidity. Shows signs of time, patina, and wear consistent with age. No major structural damage. To be restored.
