Splendid set of 4 oriental sculptures – Design by Arnaldo Giannelli (1983) Auction of a refined quartet of four sculptures depicting figures from Japanese tradition (Geisha and dignitaries), created by the renowned master sculptor Arnaldo Giannelli in 1983. These works represent the artist’s mature production, where Italian sculptural mastery meets Eastern aesthetics. Giannelli, known for creating works for the Allied Forces and busts of historical figures such as Dwight D. Eisenhower, uses here a mixed technique with strong visual impact. Key features: • Author: Arnaldo Giannelli (Signature "A. Giannelli 1983" present on the back, under the kimono knot/bow). • Material: High-quality resin coated with a laminated 925 sterling silver (not solid), with elegant hand-painted red and gold details that enhance the features and decorations of the kimonos. • Base: Each statuette rests on a circular base of fine red marble. • Provenance: Florence, Italy. The figurines are in excellent vintage condition. They show an original patina consistent with age (over 40 years) that guarantees authenticity.
