Art Nouveau - Germany - (1900-1915) - 800 Silver - Brooch

Beautiful antique Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) brooch made of 800 silver. The design features a wavy oval shape in repousé and chased silver, provided with an openwork edge with abstract floral decorations and floral motifs. In the center there is a large, smooth-polished oval onyx cabochon. The design is typical for the Art Nouveau or Jugendstil period, characterized by naturalistic motifs such as repoussé flowers and leaves. Fitted with silver mark “800”. Length of the brooch is 4.5 cm. Width of the brooch is 3.0 cm. Weight is 8.72 grams. After decades of careful collecting I have decided to part with (part of) my collection. I wish these special objects to find a place with a new enthusiast who understands the value of historical preservation. It is time for these pieces to receive the attention they deserve, so they remain preserved for the distant future as well. I ensure an extremely careful packaging and insured shipping.
