Atelier la Colombe et Vallauris - Vase (2) - Stoneware - Colombe&Vallauris

Colombe and Vallauris Green pitcher Atelier La Colombe This stout, bulbous pitcher in glazed stoneware is an iconic French artisanal piece from the 1970s, signed by artist Jean-Marie Maure for Atelier La Colombe. Its authentic aesthetic is distinguished by an exceptionally glossy finish and a textured relief that beautifully showcases the artisan's handiwork. The surface is intentionally not smooth to let the material express itself, while its decoration offers a play of glaze drips in contrasting colors of dark green, light green, and white. The base bears the workshop's authentic signature with its embedded letter E, perfectly covered by the original glaze. Height: 17.5 cm Width / diameter: 8.5 cm Depth: 19 cm Weight: 665 g Vase with lava glaze Vallauris This large flower vase in terracotta embodies the spirit of the Vallauris workshops of the 1970s with a monogram signature FL. It features a richly textured organic decor, offering a striking lava-textured effect typical of this French artistic period. Its flamboyant robe displays a powerful chromatic contrast thanks to superb glaze drips in shades of yellow, vivid orange, white and brown. The slender silhouette and the movement of the colors give it a decorative piece with strong visual presence.
