Plaster relief early 19th century Framed minor damages 21,5 x 32,5 cm 35 000 SEK A relief in plaster in the same format as the one in terracotta at the National Museum. Provenance This relief is believed to have belonged to the inventory from Johan Tobias Sergel's studio, which John Börjesson later took over and then probably a gift to John Börjesson´s doctor and also art connoisseur Carl Curman and his wife Calla in the later part of the 19th century. The relief has since then been in the possession of the family until 2023. Curman was an influential propagator for the health effects of baths and initiated and led the construction Sturebadet inspired by Ca' Vendramin Calergi in Venice. During the last two decades of the 19th century he and his wife Calla, were popular among the artistic and intellectual circles of the capital.
