I am selling a very rare and exclusive original Alfa Romeo Milano crest/ornament from the era, specifically for the front grille (shield) of the first series Alfa Romeo Giulietta (Series 750). The piece comes directly from the restoration of a pre-series car from 1954/1955. Technical identifying features: • Exact diameter: 55 mm (standard grille measurement) • Rear fixing type: 2 intact flat LIS pins (press-fit mounting via bushings/clips typical of the very early pre-series and Sprint productions) • Material: Brass / heavy metal (no zamak, no modern reproductions in plastic) • Technique: Authentic period hot enameling with the Savoy knots on the blue crown and the classic Visconti’s Biscione. Condition of the item: Stunning preserved state. The enamel is original and intact over 90%, not restored, with its beautiful patina of the time that certifies its authenticity. It features the characteristic micro-cracks of the period glazing, which are not found on modern stamped replacements. Rear pins are solid, stable and structurally perfect. Exceptional piece and of absolute rarity, ideal for someone performing a philological and high-level concours restoration who rejects modern commercial reproductions.
