Splendid antique desk scale (Roberval-type model) dating from the late 19th century (circa 1880-1900), of French manufacture under the brand "Force". A piece of great historical charm, perfect as a vintage decorative item for collectors or shop windows. The supporting frame is made of heavy black-painted cast iron, characterized by sober lines and raised lettering on the base attesting to its authenticity. The two upper pans, circular and flared, are in solid brass, supported by the classic balance mechanism perfectly preserved. Included with the scale is its original set of brass weights, elegantly housed inside a solid carved wooden container block.
