Balmenach 2008 17 years old Cask Strength Collection...

The Balmenach 17 Year Old 2008 (Cask #1) is a heavy, robust Speyside single malt bottled by Signatory Vintage for their premium Cask Strength Collection. Cask #1 is bottled at a powerful 58.2% ABV. It was distilled on October 2008 and matured for its entire 17-year duration in a single First-Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, yielding a limited outturn of only 661 bottles globally when it was opened in 2026. Profile & Tasting Notes • Character: Balmenach uses traditional worm tubs, resulting in a meaty, oily, and heavy distillate that pairs perfectly with aggressive sherry aging. • Nose: Rich and deeply sweet. Packed with dark golden syrup, raisins, brown sugar, orange zest, and toffee, alongside polished old oak. • Palate: Full-bodied, thick, and coating. Expect a massive wave of dark stewed fruits (figs and prunes), baking spices like cinnamon and ginger, espresso beans, and bitter dark chocolate. • Finish: Exceptionally long and warming. It turns pleasantly dry with drying oak tannins, cocoa powder, and a hint of leather [This lot is offered by a professional seller, therefore the bottle(s) that you receive may be different from the one(s) displayed in the picture (i.e. the bottle number), but the condition will be identical.]
