Made of carved mahogany and mahogany veneer. The rounded apron rests on sabre-shaped legs. The convex backrest features a decorative band in the Etruscan style with leafy palmette motifs. Stamped ‘Jacob Frères, rue Meslée’ beneath the rear crossbar. Late 18th century, early 19th century. Red leather tufted upholstery (cracked). Height: 88 cm – Width: 44 cm – Depth: 39 cm. (Some damage and cracks; restored). Swietenia mahagoni (II/B). Pre-Convention piece.
