Ben Nevis 1996 20 years old The Single Malts of Scotland - Sherry Butt no

• Distillery: Ben Nevis (Highlands, Scotland) • Bottler: Elixir Distillers • Age: 20 years old • Distilled: October 25, 1996 • Bottled: April 3, 2017 • Cask Type: Sherry Butt • Cask Number: Single Cask #1528 • Alcohol by Volume: 53.1% ABV (Cask Strength) • Outturn: Limited to exactly 466 bottles Flavor Profile (Sherry & Classic Ben Nevis) Having spent two decades in a single sherry cask, this whisky combines the classic, slightly 'dirty' and waxy coastal style of Ben Nevis with rich sherry influences. • Nose: Fruity with notes of apricots and lime, complemented by dry leaves, almond extract, and a touch of wax or old newspapers. • Palate: Powerful and earthy. You will taste dark fruits (like dates and cherries), citrus fruits (lime zest), and distinct earthy undertones. • Finish: Long with a pleasant, slightly bitter and zesty oak spice. Because only a very limited number of bottles were drawn from the cask back then, this specific release is now a rare collector's item primarily found on whisky auction sites.
