An elegant low antique seating piece, ideal to use as a decorative window-seat bench, fireplace bench, or hocker (banquette). The wooden frame is richly decorated with classical Louis XVI-style elements, including fluted tapered legs, cannelures in the raised armrests, graceful scroll ornaments, and hand-carved rosettes on the corners. The bench features a comfortable, springy seat with a low seating height of 30 cm. The upholstery is particularly decorative in a deep pink/coral-red glossy fabric with an woven floral pattern, centered with beautifully detailed fine embroidery of colorful butterflies and flowering branches. The underside is neatly finished with upholstery nails and equipped with modern felt gliders under the legs. Condition: In very good antique condition: The wooden frame is structurally stable, sturdy, and shows minimal age-appropriate signs of use. The upholstery is notably clean and fresh, with no large stains or holes. The fine embroidery is fully intact and the colors remain beautifully bright.
