Dated to the early 1910s, used by Mercantile Mail & Express agents and post offices to weigh letters and small packages. IN GOOD CONDITION with the weighing still accurate - Black finish with normal signs of aging decorated with a nationalist eagle decal on both sides. Complete with metal tray and glass insert. NOT RESTORED - These antique scales were common in post offices and country stores in the early 20th century. Stamped on the back PAT May 1, 1906, USA & Abroad (foreign) with an indication of a regulating screw inside (Regulating Screw Inside) - Panel with weight/price scale showing normal traces of old moisture that do not impair readability - Dimensions: 16 x 21 x 21 - EXACTLY AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTO -
