'Biqi Zun' Water Pot - Porcelain - Monochrome Copper-Red...

Monochrome Copper-Red 'Biqi Zun' Water Pot China, Late Qing dynasty–Early Republic period, early 20th century A charming Chinese porcelain water pot (shui cheng) in the distinctive biqi zun (笔器尊) form, traditionally associated with the shape of a water chestnut. The vessel features a rounded lower body, a pronounced constricted waist and a wide, trumpet-shaped mouth. The exterior is covered in a rich copper-red glaze, with a subtle speckled texture reminiscent of jihong and peachbloom-type glazes. The contrasting white interior and rim accentuate the vessel's sculptural form. The base is left unglazed and unmarked. Dimensions: H 5.5 × W 5.6 cm Condition: Good overall condition, with no damage reported. Please examine the photographs carefully. The written condition report is indicative only; the photographs provide the definitive and binding description of the item's condition. Shipping: The water pot will be securely packed and shipped with insurance.
