Blue-and-White Dragon Celestial Sphere Vase - Porcelain - China - 20th century

escription An imposing and elegantly proportioned vase of classic tianqiuping form — with a tall, straight cylindrical neck rising from a large, perfectly rounded globe body, resting on a neatly finished foot ring. The entire surface is vividly painted in rich, saturated underglaze blue with powerful five-clawed dragons coiling dynamically amid billowing clouds and flaming pearl motifs — their scales, manes and claws rendered with exceptional clarity and expressive vigour, conveying imperial authority and celestial grandeur. The painting is fluid and well-balanced, covering the body and neck in continuous, harmonious composition. The base is finished with a double-circle blue border, the glaze smooth and luminous throughout. A magnificent statement piece of considerable presence. Dimensions: Total height: approx. 37 cm Condition Gentle, even surface wear consistent with age and careful handling; No chips, cracks, hairlines, restoration or significant enamel loss observed; Blue pigment remains deep, vibrant and well-saturated; glaze smooth and bright; Overall in excellent, intact and impressively preserved condition.
