Bouddha - Statuette - Thailand

Standing bronze Buddha statue. Thai style features: * Hand gesture (Mudra): His left hand is raised, performing the teaching gesture. * The Buddha is depicted facing front, dressed in a fine draped monastic robe (called uttarasanga) * Sacred attributes: hair sculpted into tight, small curls as well as the cranial protuberance at the top of the head, called the ushnisha, symbolizing spiritual awakening and supreme wisdom. Statue inspired by the Mon-Dvaravati period Despite its patina and the bronze casting method, the statue would be a replica. Small irregularities are observed (casting traces and air bubbles) and micro-porosities and pitting on the metal surface (notably on the drapery and at the joint of the legs). These elements indicate artisanal casting 3 kg 42 cm Careful and protected shipping.
