Palm Tree Lamp in Brass – Maison S.A. Boulanger (Belgium), c. 1970 – Hollywood Regency / Maison Jansen Sublime and elegant table lamp “Palmier” produced by the famous Belgian manufacturer S.A. Les Établissements Boulanger in the early 1970s. Directly aligned with the Hollywood Regency current, this piece takes inspiration from the neoclassical botanical creations of Maison Jansen and Maison Charles. Characteristics & DETAILS: Publisher: S.A. Boulanger (Liège, Belgium). Era: Circa 1970. Materials: Solid gold-plated brass, patinated metal, weighted square base. Design: Square pedestal base topped by a neoclassical beaded vase. Central bouquet of palm leaves / rosettes in cut and hand-bent brass. Central mast with 3 light points terminated by a decorative finial / upper flourish. Electrical system: Works with screw-in bulbs (E14 or E27 depending on original installation). Ideally used with bulbs with gold/silver caps or with a suspended lampshade. State: Very beautiful original vintage condition. Superb natural patina on brass with light signs of use consistent with age (see photos). Very solid structure and functional electrical system.
