Box (2) - Wood, Metal

Pair of vintage and antique solid wood boxes, perfect as desk decor pieces, jewelry boxes, or for antique box collectors. The lot comprises two unique pieces with distinct artisan characteristics: 1. Wooden box with lock and four-leaf-clover key • Construction: High-quality cabinetmaking with beautiful and sturdy dovetail joints visible on the edges. L29.5xH13.5xP13 • Details: Front metal lock complete with its rare original antique key with a perforated four-leaf-clover-shaped handle. Recessed hinges on the back. • Interior: Natural light wood interior, completely clean and without compartments, ideal for documents or precious objects. 2. Decorative box with a postal carriage scene • Lid: Splendid upper plaque decorated in an 19th-century engraving style, depicting a stagecoach drawn by four horses with coachmen and passengers. • Lid detail: part enriched by a metallic profile. The box rests on charming plastic ball feet. L 29xH9.5xP18.5 • Overall condition: Good vintage/antique condition. • Wear details: Both objects feature a beautiful natural patina of time. The plain box shows light and superficial signs of wear on the lid surface and a thin wood settling line on the back near the left hinge, which does not compromise its stability (all clearly visible in the photos). The key is fully functional. The carriage box shows a warm patina of age and light abrasions consistent with its age. Please view the photo gallery
