Bronzen chanoekia met Davidster – negenlichts Joodse kandelaar

Bronze Chanukiah with Star of David – nine-light Jewish candlestick, 2,277 grams An impressive candelabrum in which form and tradition meet. This bronze chanukiah, also known as a Chanukah menorah, features gracefully curved arms, a striking Star of David, and a richly worked base. With a weight of 2,277 grams, it is a heavy and characterful object. Four curved arms on either side carry together eight candle holders. The ninth holder is positioned forward on the central stem, behind which the open-work Star of David sits. The articulated arms and goblet-shaped holders give the design rhythm, while the stepped, polygonal base is decorated with leaf-like ornaments. Unlike the seven-branch Temple menorah, this is a chanukiah with nine candle holders. Eight lights refer to the eight days of Chanukah; the ninth light, the shamash, is used to light the remaining lights. The festival commemorates the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem. An attractive addition to a Judaica collection and a meaningful focal point on a cabinet, table or dresser.
