Alle Auktionen / Kunst und Drucke / Bruce Timm - 2 Acrylic - Batman: The Animated Series...
An exceptional, master-class original animation production artwork set from the legendary first season of Batman: The Animated Series (1992). This highly desirable lot features a true, matching two-piece production combination from the celebrated pilot-season episode "Christmas With The Joker"—historically significant as the very first episode produced for the series run and the monumental debut performance of Mark Hamill as the voice of The Joker. This premium lot consists of the following original assets professionally presented in a custom, archival double-matted frame: 1. Original Hand-Painted Production Cel: Used directly under the cameras in the official 1992 animation workflow, featuring a crisp, striking shot of Batman in the definitive Bruce Timm visual style. 2. Original Matching Graphite Production Layout Drawing: The exact underlying pencil sketch used by the Warner Bros. animators to align and ink the celluloid sheet. Included in the Presentation: • Original Warner Bros. hand-painted production cel • Matching original production layout drawing • Official Warner Bros. Animation Art Certificate of Authenticity (COA No. 22622) • Authentic raised Warner Bros. production studio seal stamped on the cel • High-end, gallery-quality custom presentation display frame Provenance & Continuity: The official Certificate of Authenticity bears the serial number 22622, which perfectly matches the handwritten archive reference on the reverse of the framed backing. This absolute matching correspondence proves that the original cel, matching artist drawing, and studio certificate have been meticulously preserved together as a complete, untouched historical Warner Bros. studio presentation block. Unlike modern digital prints or commercial sericels, this is a unique piece of television history from one of the most influential and visually groundbreaking animated series of all time. Condition: Excellent vintage production condition throughout. The hand-painted celluloid colors remain exceptionally vibrant, crisp, and completely stable. The underlying graphite drawing shows beautiful, clean line definition. Professionally preserved behind display glass for decades with only minor, negligible signs of age consistent with museum-grade framing. Complete with original documentation.
