These interiors redraw the mental universe of those who are on the road: their traditions, their aspirations, their personalities. They are no longer simply migrants, but merchants, a young adult barely out of childhood, or a mystic artist. In front of the photographer’s lens, the “migrants” or “refugees” – generic terms that make us lose sight of their identity – are no longer silhouettes walking in the mud among the tents, but faces that look back at us...
