The spirit was produced using clear spring water from the Margadale River, transported via underground pipes to prevent the absorption of peat flavors. Maturation took place primarily in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled around the year 2000, this bottle dates back to a time when the whisky industry was still heavily driven by the standards of major blending houses: • Alcohol content: At the time, the 12-year-old standard was bottled at 40% ABV.
