Byzantine Bronze Ring with Large Polygonal Bezel – 7th to 10th Century AD A substantial Byzantine bronze ring featuring a broad, slightly polygonal raised bezel with a plain undecorated face and a simple rounded hoop. The stepped transition around the bezel and the overall robust construction are characteristic of utilitarian and personal-adornment rings produced in the Byzantine world during the Early to Middle Byzantine period. The surface preserves a naturally aged brown-green patina with areas of mineralisation and wear consistent with prolonged burial and considerable age.
