This is a vintage globe from the 1960s. The map shows historical geopolitical boundaries, including the Soviet Union (USSR) and the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. They often contain outdated geographical names and boundaries that no longer correspond to the current situation. While most globes from that era were made of cardboard or plaster, this inflatable version offered an impressively large size that was still lightweight and easy to store. Features:Historical Value: Produced in the “Year of Africa,” reflecting the continent’s rapid decolonization.Graded Relief: Uses specific color gradations to depict elevation differences and ocean currents.Three Scales: Features scale markings in nautical miles, land miles, and kilometers.
