C. Techmeyers - Statue

This is a rare and monumental metal sculpture by the French designer Christian Techoueyres, made for Maison Jansen in the 1970s. Current state & Patina: The sculpture has stood outdoors for a long time and has accordingly developed a beautiful, nature-formed exterior patina (copper-green oxidation on the bronze, deep olive-brown coloration on the brass). The metal and the welds are structurally in good, solid condition apart from a reed stem, which sits somewhat loose on the base. It has been deliberately chosen not to chemically clean or polish the sculpture in order to protect the original 50-year-old patina layer. Logistics: Due to the high weight and the fragility of the protruding parts, the object cannot be shipped by regular mail.
