Cameron, Texas. $20 1882 Value Back. Fr. 581. Citizens NB. Charter

Cameron, Texas. $20 1882 Value Back. Fr. 581. Citizens NB. Charter #5484. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 20. Representative of a tough type and denomination that collectively records less than 65 non-institutional pieces overall on the state of Texas. This evenly circulated Series of 1882 $20 Value Back issued by the Citizens National Bank of Cameron (Charter# 5484) is nonetheless a rare item for the issuing bank as well. Per the National Bank Note Census only four non-institutional examples of this type are recorded here on this Milam County-based bank while the most recent auction appearance for any of those four can be traced back to 2002 making this an exceptionally rare opportunity for the collector who seeks to build a truly exceptional collection of Texas Nationals in the vein of Copeland. Estimate: $800 - $1,200. Provenance: From the Jack Copeland Currency Collection, Part IV. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.
