Candleholder (2) - Patinated bronze - Frog

A charming and decorative pair of candlesticks shaped like two mirror-image, sitting frogs with mouths wide open. The frogs hold with their forepaws a goblet-shaped candle holder (suitable for a standard dinner candle) in a playful manner. The backs and sides of the frogs feature a detailed relief texture that accentuates the frog's skin. The contrasting bright green verdigris patina in the deeper areas gives the pair a lively, classical appearance. Very solidly cast and heavy in weight. Dimensions: Height: approx. 12 cm Width: approx. 9 cm Depth: approx. 7 cm Total weight: 865 grams (429 g and 436 g separately). The lot is packed with the utmost care and shipped by registered mail and insured with track & trace. Pickup is also possible by arrangement.
