The composition draws strong inspiration from sacred painting of the Italian Renaissance and the Seicento (with influences reminiscent of Raphael or Scipione Pulzone), but in terms of the softness of the features and the materials of the period it seems to be an artwork datable to the 19th to early 20th century. Visual details of the work Subject The face of the Virgin, slightly reclined and looking downward, wears a light veil and a red mantle. On the chest stands out a small decorative brooch or clasp. Signature On the left side, at the level of the veil against the blue background, a cursive signature of the copyist can be seen.
