Carpet - 290 cm - 205 cm - Turkmen oriental rug

Bold red and regularly arranged geometric medallions characterize this hand-knotted Turkmen rug from Afghanistan. Dark outlines and cream-colored details highlight the individual ornaments. Between the medallions, small geometric motifs complement the pattern and give the field a vibrant, even texture. A broad, multi-part border surrounds the area. Narrow light-pattern bands alternate with dark red ornament rows, giving this Afghan Oriental rug its distinctive frame. The coordinated red tones connect the field and border into a harmonious overall image. With its dimensions of 290 × 205 cm, the rectangular wool rug is particularly well-suited to visually unite a seating group in the living room. Its rich red hue harmonizes with warm wooden furniture, light leather, and upholstery fabrics in beige or cream. In a modern setting, the traditional pattern delivers a bold accent and brings color to the living space.
