We have preserved the iconic shape of the original G-SHOCK while developing a new structure that extends the case to the lugs to further dampen the transmission of shocks. An internal resin protection temporarily deforms to absorb shocks, yielding a watch with a fully metal exterior that meets G-SHOCK's shock-resistance standards. The stainless steel case and the screw-down case back guarantee water resistance. Furthermore, to enable solar-powered operation of the high-definition MIP LCD with embedded memory in every pixel — a display commonly used in G-SHOCK sport models — we have developed a more energy-efficient version. This new display offers a total of eight different viewing styles: you can choose between two distinct styles, STANDARD for easy readability and CLASSIC for a traditional seven-segment look, and four display modes. The display uses a high-precision, high-contrast MIP LCD with a wide viewing angle that not only charges from ambient light — sunlight or even fluorescent lamp light — but also provides finer rendering for exceptionally legible output even in bright outdoor spaces and under direct sun. The time-mode display layout mirrors the look of the original G-SHOCK, with traditional styling and advanced functionality. By downloading the CASIO WATCHES app, it can be paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth. With Multiband 6, Tough Solar charging and a high-brightness LED light, you will have a complete practical utility at your fingertips.
