Iconic LC2 sofa, designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, and produced by Cassina, one of the absolute manifestos of 20th-century modern design and a timeless symbol of the Modern Movement. The LC2 model was conceived as a radical expression of the concept of the “machine for sitting,” where function is brought to its highest formal clarity. The visible tubular metal supporting frame, here in the classic black finish, envelops and contains the upholstered volumes like a true architectural exoskeleton. It is a clear design statement: the structure is not hidden but becomes language, graphic sign and spatial frame.
