Dating back to the heyday of the La Tène culture, this object is a fine example of Celtic symbolic art. The amulet features a distinct ritualistic form composed of two main elements joined by a connecting bar. The upper section is a perfect circle, symbolizing the Sun, infinity, the cyclical nature of life, and the divine principle. The lower section is shaped like a stylized key or a "rotating" symbol—often interpreted as an emblem of fertility, a safeguard against evil spirits, or a representation of the four elements (or the four cardinal directions).
