Chair (2) - 2 dining room chairs in Spanish...

2 dining chairs in a Spanish-inspired Neo-Renaissance style, dating from the mid-20th century. Each piece is entirely crafted from solid oak, displaying a magnificent dark, warm patina. The design stands out with meticulous carving: the tall backrest features sculpted uprights with chevron geometric motifs, topped with delicate small turned wooden finials. The lower rail of the backrest bears pretty baroque volutes carved in the mass. The leg assembly is characterized by the front feet beautifully turned into balusters, connected by a solid H-stretcher ensuring stability and robustness. The seat and the central backrest are generously padded for optimal comfort and covered in burgundy-maroon faux leather. This covering, both aesthetic and particularly easy to maintain, is beautifully accented by a peripheral frieze of large brass stud nails, reinforcing the historical and noble character of the set. Ideal for adding character, authenticity and a touch of “Haute Époque” to a classic dining room or an eclectically designed interior. Condition: Good overall condition. Wooden structure healthy, very stable and robust. The faux leather covering is clean, well stretched and shows no major tears (some light signs of use normal for its age, see detailed photos).
