Chest of drawers - Mahogany - Antique Louis XVI commode

Antique Luigi XVI Commode in Mahogany Elegant commode of the Louis XVI era and style, made of solid mahogany, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. The piece features a sober and balanced line, typical of neoclassical taste, with a front marked by four broad, stacked drawers, all equipped with original locks. The drawers are adorned with gilded perimeter fillets that enhance the warm grain of the mahogany and lend refinement to the whole. The upper surface is smooth and slightly protruding, while the sides are straight and undecorated, in keeping with the measured elegance of the Louis XVI style. The structure rests on tapered, truncated pyramidal feet, a distinctive hallmark of the period. The interior of the drawers is made of softwood, as per traditional construction, and the back preserves its original structure. A piece of great classicism and versatility, ideal for bedrooms, entryways, or reception areas, capable of integrating harmoniously in both antique and more contemporary interiors.
