Exclusive Beijing Chinese Rug – Round XL – Art Deco – 1940–1960 We present an exclusive Beijing round XL Chinese rug, a large antique piece, hard to find and especially interesting for collectors. It is 100% handmade, crafted in very high-quality wool over cotton. The wool is especially soft and pleasant to the touch, a characteristic of high-quality Beijing rugs from this era. Origin: China – Beijing Period: 1940–1960 Style: Art Deco Size: 277 cm in diameter Shape: Round XL Material: Wool on cotton Manufacture: 100% handmade The rug is in very good condition considering its age. It needs a cleaning to refresh it and bring out again the intensity and beauty of its colors. It presents two small oxidation stains of approximately 2 cm, slightly smaller and not serious considering the piece’s age. Please look closely at the photographs, which are part of the description. In a black area there is a small original imperfection from artisanal manufacture, produced during the weaving and dyeing process by the master artisans. This peculiarity is part of its handmade fabrication and makes the rug even rarer, more unique and special, giving it character and authenticity. A grand collectible piece, especially difficult to find due to its impressive round XL format of 277 cm in diameter, its age, its Art Deco design, and the extraordinary quality and softness of its wool.
