Glistening Giorgi-Signed Pattern Dollar of Yuan Shih-kai CHINA. Silver Dollar Pattern, ND (1914). Tientsin Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-64 Cameo. L&M-859; K-642A; KM-Pn28; Hsu-15; Wenchao-856 (rarity: ★★★). Variety with "L. GIORGI" signature. Full of resounding brilliance and flair across both sides, this thoroughly enthralling "tall hat" pattern crown features Luigi Giorgi's signature above the left shoulder of the military-clad half-length bust of Yuan Shih-kai. An exceptional RARITY that is not at all often encountered, especially in such a tantalizing state of preservation, as is the case here. Prooflike and stunning, with a frosty nature imparted unto the devices and with a burnished russet nature at the peripheries. Estimate: $100,000 - $200,000.
