Ciganer - France, Croisiere Aux Antilles, 1982 French Line Poster

French Line travel poster by Ciganer depicting the legendary ocean liner France dramatically viewed head-on at sea. Titled France - Croisiere aux Antilles - 19 Fevrier 1964, the design commemorates the ship's first commercial Caribbean cruise on February 19, 1964. The bold, streamlined composition-with the monumental black hull set against a vivid blue sky-shows the influence of Art Deco-era ocean-liner graphics. Signed in the image "Ciganer" at the lower right and produced for the French Line (Compagnie Generale Transatlantique). Framed size: 23" W x 39" H.
