Classic Entourage Ring With Emerald & Diamonds in White Gold, ca. 1980

It is hard to imagine the history of 20th century jewellery without the cluster ring. The typical cluster ring presents a coloured stone in its centre, surrounded by a halo of white diamonds. Only details indicate the exact age of such a timeless piece of jewellery: The metal used, for example, the hallmarks, the diamond cuts and the design itself. The present ring was created in the last decades of the 20th century and features a spring-green emerald. The stone shows a delicate "jardin" (from French for garden), the characteristic inclusion pattern of this gemstone. Ten brilliant cut diamonds of one carat altogether surround the stone and intensify its colour effect. Fine prongs as well as a gallery setting of high-carat white gold hold the gemstones. The ring shank flattens towards the top so that only the narrow side is visible, giving the ring a particularly delicate appearance. We discovered the ring in Nuremberg. An independent certificate from Idar-Oberstein has confirmed the quality of the gemstones. It will be delivered with the ring.
