Clovis Bertieaux - Figure - Glazed ceramic wall plaque in high relief

Superb and important enamel glazed high-relief ceramic wall plaque depicting a seahorse, created by the famous Belgian ceramic artist Clovis Bertieaux. The work dates from 1979. This piece fits perfectly within the Brutalist style and late-70s art ceramics. The ceramic is presented in its original rectangular wooden frame. • Artist: Clovis Bertieaux (signed bottom right) • Workshop monogram: Present above the date • Year: 1979 • Theme: Marine / Underwater fauna / Mediterranean • Style: Brutalist / Vintage / Late Mid-Century Modern • Condition: Very good overall condition (see photos for details).
