Coffee spoon (12) - .800 silver - Era 1944-1968

Elegant Service of 12 Coffee Spoons in 800 Silver (Era 1944-1968) Description of the lot: refined vintage set consisting of 12 espresso coffee / moka spoons in solid 800 silver, complete with its original rigid antique case. The interior of the lid, lined with ochre satin fabric, bears the classic frieze with the inscription "Argento 800-000", typical of the packaging of mid-20th century cutlery sets. The utensils display a splendid classic contoured line, enhanced at the upper end of the handle with very fine raised decorative details in relief, featuring vegetal scroll motifs. Coming from a private collection, the items are kept in like-new condition and have NEVER BEEN USED. To ensure maximum transparency and the best presentation, the cutlery has recently undergone a light and careful professional cleaning: the silver is extraordinarily bright, shiny, and completely free of scratches, abrasions, or signs of wear. Any minuscule and imperceptible traces of patina of time testify to the piece’s authenticity and historicity without detracting from its overall luster. Stamping and Historical Dating: the set is an authentic example of Italian silverware from the post-war period, datable precisely to 1944-1968. On the back of each handle are impressed the original marks required by the Italian regulations of the time: the title number "800" impressed in free and bare figures (completely devoid of an oval outline), as mandated by law before the modern reform. To the left, the silversmith’s identifying mark enclosed in the typical post-war truncated lozenge shape (without the fasces). The data inside the mark (number and province) are partly faded by time and difficult to read, testimony to use and authenticity of the piece. The set is structurally and legally prior to the 1968 reform, which subsequently introduced the obligation of an oval around the number 800 and the emblem of the Italian Republic. Specifications and Dimensions of the Set: Quantity: 12 coordinated spoons. Material: 800/1000 solid silver. Manufacture: Italian, antique. Total length: 10.8 cm each. Maximum cup width: 2.4 cm. Visual note: the numerous attached photographs are an integral part of the description and clearly show the shine of the silver, the actual dimensions, the condition of the packaging, and the clarity of the original stamps. Some images of the lot have been digitally altered to even out the white background and highlight the details of the objects, which remain faithful to the original in every part.
