Stunning abstract engraving in color, executed with drypoint, by the Brazilian artist Constantin Andreou (1917-2007). Printed in a run of 50 copies, this one numbered 45/50. Signature: Signed in pencil by the artist Format: 57 x 75 cm Condition: Excellent condition. Shows no signs of wear. Constantin Andréou (1917-2007) was a major Greco-French painter and sculptor of the 20th century, born in Brazil. Raised in Greece, he taught himself art before settling in Paris in 1945 thanks to a scholarship. He closely collaborated with architect Le Corbusier from 1947 to 1953, notably creating the maquettes of the Cité Radieuse. A technical pioneer, he left a mark on the history of sculpture by inventing an innovative brass-welding process.
