Contemporary Memory Ring with Diamonds in Gold, Size 51.5, c. 2010

This elegant ring made us think of the starry sky, of the Milky Way's sparkling band of thousands of shining stars. The ring is also designed as a band, but made of high-carat gold into which sparkling diamonds have been set like stars. A total of 26 brilliant-cut diamonds of different sizes are set into the ring and appear to be randomly scattered across the front of the design. Together, the gemstones in the ring weigh around one carat. A practical and pleasant feature is that they are set flush into the gold: This means that the ring cannot get caught anywhere and also leaves woollen scarves, stockings and sweaters undamaged. The ring came to us here in Berlin. Its unusual design with the diamonds set all the way around is basically a modern version of the classic memory ring.
