Beautiful Cobra work framed by Guillaume Corneille signed on the plate, created in homage to Charlie Parker: "April in Paris", 1951. Corneille discovers Jazz upon his arrival in Paris in 1951 in the cabarets of the Capital. With Hugo Claus, he has the idea to work around this music. Edition limited to 90 copies after the original screenprint "April in Paris" - Schana B Editions / Official Archives Guillaume Corneille - Stamp on the back of the image - Natural pigments on Belgian hemp paper. Editioned print. Blind stamp of the editions. We are selling here the numbered AO 38/90 copy - Off-centering of the image conceived by Corneille suggesting the rhythm of Jazz. The painter created in total 8 works in the series "April in Paris" in 1951. Dimensions with frame: 32.5 x 42.5 cm - Very good condition Guillaume Corneille was one of the founding members of the Cobra group with Karel Appel, Asger Jorn, Christian Dotremont, Constant, Jacques Doucet, or Alechinsky.
