The lot brings together three different series: British Anchor “Country Cottage”, Myott “Royal Mail” and Johnson Bros “Mill Stream”. All pieces feature evocative scenes of the English countryside, cottages, mills, carriages, gardens and rural landscapes, realized through transferware decorations and enriched by delicate touches of color. Elegant green-dominated decoration featuring rural English scenes and a distinctive carriage. Mark on the bottom “Myott – Royal Mail – A Genuine Hand Engraving – Fine Staffordshire Ware – Made in England”. Johnson Bros – “Mill Stream” – 7 pieces 6 dessert plates and 1 flat plate. Rich floral and landscape decoration with a central scene of a mill/cottage immersed in nature. On the bottom is the mark “Mill Stream – Made in England by Johnson Bros”, with indication of the engraving and glaze-applied decoration.
