Cristalleria francese - Drinking service (13) - Crystal

A set of 12 mouth-blown clear crystal wine glasses for dessert, 11.8 cm high with a 6.1 cm diameter, and a bottle with stopper, 32 cm high with a 12.5 cm diameter. In the neck of the decanter it is numbered, as is the stopper. The bottle has a long, faceted neck, an epoch piece attributed to finer factory names than the great European crystal houses of the Belle Époque period (about 1880–1915), traceable to French manufactories such as Baccarat or Saint Louis. It features an acid-engraved decoration with garlands, leaves and bows, festoons, and hanging drops, typical of the Empire or neoclassical style with delicate vegetal motifs. The stopper is fully faceted in a “diamond” pattern (facets in geometric/droplet shapes), typical of high-end production of the late 19th or early 20th century. It is not possible to determine the exact brand with certainty from the image alone, as many historic crystal and blown glass manufactories did not affix a visible mark at the center of the object until around 1936; earlier pieces often had only a paper label. Over time, through use, washing, and the passing decades (these pieces date back more than a century, roughly 1880–1915), the label inevitably detached without leaving a trace. Val Saint Lambert (Belgium) or Saint-Louis (France): Both manufactories produced crystal with this identical Louis XVI acid motif from the late 19th to early 20th century. The cup features a classic tulip/glass-upturned shape. The stem is slender, smooth, and straight, joined to the cup base by a small crystal ring/knot. The flat circular base is undecorated to balance the refined elegance of the upper part.
