Mr. Payá served as manager of Joyerías Mercurio (Panama) in the 1960s, worked in the Pforzheim manufacturing sector (Germany) in the early 1970s—the exact period in which he acquired these cufflinks at the author’s workshop—and later held senior executive positions at H. Stern on Fifth Avenue in New York and as international expansion director at Carrera y Carrera.
