Alle Auktionen / Sport & Freizeit / daveY - DIPTYCH ANIME UKIYO-E: MONKEY D
In auction, an exceptional and exclusive Diptych (Set of 2 Canvases) celebrating the greatest myths of Japanese animation — One Piece and Dragon Ball — reinterpreted through the unmistakable, elegant and majestic style of traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e art and period woodcuts. The set consists of two large canvases (60x80 cm each), designed to be displayed side by side in a composition of extraordinary visual impact. The works fuse the modern energy of anime dynamism with the ornamental richness of classical Nipponese art: tempestuous waves in Hokusai-like fashion, mythological dragons, sinuous flames and Kansei calligraphic details. Artistic Analysis of the Works: 1. First Canvas: Monkey D. Luffy – The Straw Hat Samurai Subject and Pose: An epic interpretation of Monkey D. Luffy in traditional warrior/samurai garb. Luffy wields a Katana and supports a sphere of fiery energy in the palm of his hand, maintaining his iconic chest scar and the indispensable straw hat on his shoulders. Traditional Japanese Details: The pirate outfit boasts ultra-fine embroidery, interwoven belts and a dark cloak. The background is dominated by an oriental dragon blazing among foaming sea waves and blooming cherry/maple trees. In the upper left, a cartouche with calligraphic engravings in ancient parchment style stands out. 2. Second Canvas: Son Goku & Vegeta – Saiyan Warrior Legends Subject and Pose: The two iconic rivals and protectors of the universe, Son Goku (in his noble base form with orange suit) and Vegeta (in the powerful Super Saiyan Blue transformation), depicted with arms crossed in a pose of total confidence and majesty. Traditional Japanese Details: On their shoulders rises a imposing Japanese dragon that blends among fiery flames and large stylized sea swells. The energy aura of the two Saiyans harmonizes with the organic motifs of classic Ukiyo-e landscapes, creating a perfect fusion between the Dragon Ball saga and the mythology of the Land of the Rising Sun. Technical Specifications of the Lot: Number of Pieces: 2 Canvases (Complete Diptych) Artist: [Artist Name / Collective or "Studio d'Arte Contemporary Anime Ukiyo-e"] Titles of the Works: Luffy Ukiyo-e Legend & Goku & Vegeta Saiyan Heritage Style: Pop Art / Anime Neo-Ukiyo-e / Japanese Traditional Fusion Technique: Giclée art print at ultra-high definition on premium heavyweight painting canvas. Total Display Footprint: Approximately 120-130 cm (L) x 80 cm (H) side by side. Conditions: Perfect, studio studio artworks. Why bid on this lot?
