Alle Auktionen / Spielzeug & Sammlerobjekte / daveY - KAWS LEGO – "Sunken Relic (Abyssal Patina)"
In this piece, a visual artwork of extraordinary charm and mystery, belonging to the exclusive collection "Elemental Odyssey", a conceptual series that blends the iconography of Pop/Urban Art with the primordial forces of natural elements. The work, titled "Sunken Relic (Abyssal Patina)", explores the depths of the Water element and the transformative power of time. The famous figure, built with the characteristic brick-building structure (Lego-style), is here reinvented as an ancient and forgotten maritime relic laid on the ocean floor. Its surface is entirely covered by a realistic and fascinating patina of verdigris (typical of the oxidation of bronze and copper), enriched with barnacles, sea anemones, cirripedes and drifting algae. In the center of the chest a submarine porthole stands out, emanating a mysterious and hypnotic blue light. JPG + 3 To complete this steampunk and adventurous scenography, the background reveals the ghostly wreck of an ancient sunken sailing ship, surrounded by relics and illuminated by evocative sun rays that manage to penetrate the darkness of the abyss.
