David Law Artiste Photographe – Creator of Contemporary Images A multidisciplinary photographer artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on the gaze, presence and perception of the image in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series dedicated to window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he prolongs this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, calling into question our relationship to illusion and projection. New Series – Walls of legends This series pays tribute to iconic figures who have marked history, music, cinema and popular culture. Each portrait, reduced to essentials, captures in a few strong contrasts an identity instantly recognizable. Created with contemporary digital tools and then transposed into a stencil-like aesthetic, the works sit within the street art tradition, between spontaneity and mastery of gesture. Deep black and raw surfaces evoke direct wall interventions, while imperfections and textures strengthen their urban character. Between collective memory and visual expression, this series offers a timeless reading of the icons who continue to inhabit our imagination. Edition & Fabrication Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with a built-in rear mounting. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term color stability, and a modern, contemporary look. Career Since 2014, David Law has participated in about twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the official photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Alongside his visual work, he develops an authorial and musical career including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photography book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
