David Law - Alfred Hitchcock - Psychose

Crypto Movie Series - Reconstitution of a photo using photos of the represented artist. Artist Photographer – Creator of contemporary images Multidisciplinary photographer artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of images in urban space. He first became known for a series devoted to store mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Subsequently, drawn to the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection. New Series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A new reading of cultural icons The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary reinterpretation of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetics. Each work rests on a mosaic construction made up of thousands of micro-graphic compositions. From afar, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it unveils a wealth of visual details. Each fragment acts as an “wave,” evoking the artistic universe of the subject depicted. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. Thorough work is carried out on colors, light and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent way. Edition & Fabrication Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by an authenticity certificate. The prints are produced on aluminum with a built-in rear hanging system. Print on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with UV and humidity-protective soft laminate, guaranteeing excellent durability, great longevity, color stability and a modern, contemporary rendering. Parcours Since 2014, David Law participates in around twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the designated photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops an authorial and musical career including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
