Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / David Law - Crypto Bruce Dickinson IV - Iron Maiden - Format XL 60x60
Special Series Crypto Rock - Recreating a photograph using photos of the represented artist. Artist Photographer – Creator of contemporary images Multidisciplinary photographer, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of image in urban space. He first gained recognition with a series devoted to shop-window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Later, drawn by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, challenging our relationship to illusion and projection. New Series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A new reading of cultural icons The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary rereading of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work rests on a mosaic construction made up of thousands of micro-graphic compositions. From afar, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it reveals a wealth of visual details. Each fragment acts as a “wave,” evoking the artistic universe of the subject depicted. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. Substantial work is carried out on colors, light, and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent way. Edition & Production Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with an integrated back frame. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with a flexible UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, ensuring excellent durability, long-term resistance, color stability and a modern, contemporary look. Background Since 2014, David Law has participated in around twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the reserved photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops an authorial and musical career including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a comic book, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the group FRENZY.
